Okay, I just woke up and started perusing the news stories, and just wanted to post about the Tibet protest led by monks that occurred yesterday, where at least 30 protesters were killed.
To me, not only is it sad that Tibet was invaded to begin with, especially considering what a peaceful group of people they are, they are buddhists ffs, its sad that everyone seems to have forgotten their plight, and the occurrence of “Free Tibet” stickers are few and far between. The republic of China’s weak excuse of Tibet preventing modernization* as a reason to invade was laughable in 1951, and still is. * dont forget, China also was into centralism, and refused/refuses outside influences for centuries.
I guess all in all I am just frustrated, because, as a US citizen I see BILLIONS poured into a fruitless “war” that has been proclaimed against an idea, and then I see Tibet, that was invaded over 50 years ago, who have tried to uprise against the greatly outnumbered China government, Â yet still be forgotten by the rest of the world.
After being on strike for 100 days exactly, writers voted to return to work last night!! The strike is estimated to have cost the entertainment industry $1.5 billion dollars. And while writers agreed to return to work, they have not voted if they accept the agreement being offered by the film industries that would provide them money for work on shows that go to internet, but gives them the option to hire cheaper writers to do online shows.  And while neither group got exactly what they want, this means we can at least get back to all of our craptastic scripted shows!
Last year the Jena Six made headlines among stories of racial fighting, nooses and discrimination. Thousands united to show their support for the boys, and now, supporters are needed more than ever as a group for the “national majority” (read: whites only) are planning to march on MLK day, in a protest against celebrating the holiday of the fallen civil rights leader, and to protest against the reduced, but still severe, punishment the all black boys face.
So basically, this is a racist group who is going to march to spread hate, and attempt to insult the black community by marching on MLK day. And I guess since I have lived in the south my entire life, this doesn’t surprise me, but it does disgust me. I don’t understand why a group who’s only message is hate and division is allowed to march. Of course I understand the value of freedom of speech, which dutifully entails the fact you must support the protection of speech, even when it is against what the majority would want to hear, but when the purpose of an entire organization is discrimination, that should not be allowed.

Ebonics: Several of the Jena Six refer to themselves as “niggas” and use Ebonics.
Wilding: The victim of the Jena Six was targeted because he was white, a gangster-practice known as “wilding.”
Quotas: Some courts demand Negroes on juries and toss a case, if there aren’t any.
Really….take the time and send these assholes a message, and tell them that their views are not what the “majority” believes, and that the only majority they make up is the idiotic and uneducated.
Most of you probably remember the story I did on the Jena 6, and now George Bush has given his opinion, albeit very dense, on the matter, saying:
“The events in Louisiana have saddened me,…. All of us in America want there to be, you know, fairness when it comes to justice.”
Reading that just makes me want to scream “NO SHIT SHERLOCK”! We do want fairness, and I personally believe that George Bush should pardon all 6 of these boys and implement some plan for decreasing the racial tensions in that town, which are beyond unacceptable. But for Bush to sit there, and talk about fairness, and not pardon these boys, like he did Libby from doing jail time, is about the biggest slap in the face yet. That’s why George Bush is the biggest dickweed president in all of our history, and even if he does pardon these boys, its not out of the goodness of his heart, its out of being told to try and save face for the right wing government.
And I hope all of you reading this will also sign this petition, as well as the others I have asked you to sign, and if you can, go to Jena and participate in the civil rights movements occurring there. Lets make the Civil Right movements in the 21st century everyones problem, not just a “white” or “black” thing.
So if you have been reading my site, you probably know by now how I feel about the police…..THEY ARE A BUNCHA PIGS! The vast majority of cops don’t do things now to help people, they are just about demonstrating their power over people in an attempt to make their, usually, uneducated asses feel better. And in a new, shocking, video released by students at the University of Florida you can see a kid who was attending a speech and questionnaire session by John Kerry being brutally tasered while screaming for them to stop and begging for help. Why was he tasered you ask? Oh, you know, the typical: because he wouldn’t stop asking Kerry his question when his time was up. Literally. He wont stop asking a question, and says he will get off the mic when he is through asking his question. And while Kerry begins answering his question, even saying its “It’s alright, I will answer it.”, cops approach him and without really saying anything and start putting him in cuffs. When he asks, “What are you arresting me for?” he doesn’t get an answer and does begin to try to escape their grips, but more officers do come, and they bring tasers with them, because, you know, you should get tasered for being at the most, mildly disruptive to a senator. Then, six cops pin him to the ground and and begin tasering him, which you can hear over his screams.
Honestly, people, open your eyes. Cops are not enforcing laws that keep us safe, they are enforcing ideals onto people, and when you disagree, you don’t stand a chance because they just arrest you. I think its ridiculous that a cop could come up to someone who is in the middle of talking and begin pulling their arms behind them and putting them into cuffs without so much as a reason. And I think its really freaking ridiculous that the cops would use a taser on this person. Actually, I don’t think its ridiculous, I KNOW its ridiculous. Cops should use tasers and weapons as a last resort, not as a way to quickly subdue someone who is unruly. Being unruly is our right, thats why they say anything you say or do can be used against you in a court. And its not like this kid had weapons or anything of that sort. They just did not like his behavior, and to make him obey quickly, they sent hooks into his chest that pass electricity through his body…sounds fair, right?
So way to go coppers, you really took a hardened criminal off the streets, I hope you feel you really big about the great job you are doing.
And I don’t know about you, but it truly scares me that I live in a country where I could be tasered for asking someone a question that cops don’t like, or for being just a little to unruly.
And if you think about it, what would have been the worse thing that could have happened if they let him keep talking? He would have finished his question, and Kerry, who is a grown ass man, would have decided to answer it or ignore it, and things would have carried on without any crazy ass police brutality occurring.
Also might I add that I think every single one of those cops should be fired immediately for their over reaction to this situation. A good cop would have seen that this situation warranted no violence whatsoever and would have never escalated the situation from a matter of talking to a a violent, volatile situation.
Very rarely do I post things that are of REAL importance, and this is one of those RARE cases.

At a highschool in Jena, Louisiana there is a clear racial divide, and its even so bad that there is a tree in the courtyard referred to as the “white tree” where all the white kids congregate. A black student asked the principal if he could sit under this tree, and the principal said he was free to sit wherever. However, the next day, three nooses in the schools colors hung from the “white tree”. Three white kids where found responsible, and even though the principal recommended them being expelled, instead they got three days in school suspension. Racial tendencies continued to rise among the students, and when the black student body silently protested the lax punishment the white boys received by sitting under the “white tree” the D.A. showed up with police and dispersed the students telling them “I can be your best friend or your worst enemy. I can take away your lives with a stroke of my pen.”. If that wasn’t bad enough, the school went on lockdown for a week. In the following two months, tensions were still on the rise, but stifled by the good fortune the football team was experiencing. Then in December, there was a fight outside of a party between the two racially divided groups. Eventually, one white student was charged with simple battery and put on probation. The following night, at a convenience store, a black male and a white male who had been in the altercation the night before ran into each other and got into a verbal argument. The white student then ran to his truck, and got a pistol gripped shotgun. The black student managed to wrestle it from the white student, and instead of giving it back, he took it to the police station. Where he was arrested for theft, robbery and disturbing the peace. (Doesn’t this seem like a JOKE?? ) That following Monday at school, a group of six black students got into a fight with a white student who was calling them racial names, and now all six face charges of attempted second degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. All of these charges come with 20-50 year sentences.
Being from the South myself, I have been hearing about the Jena Six for some time now. But I have noticed in traveling and talking to people from all over the place that people do not understand how prevalent racism still is. Stories like this happen ALL the time, maybe not on this scale, but stories of racism are far from being over, especially when the youths of the nation STILL have these ignorant beliefs. It truly saddens me that in the year 2007 justice is being perverted and twisted into a machine of racism, and people care less now than they ever have before. Just because their is no MLK or Malcolm X doesn’t mean that racism has been dispelled. People have gone soft and stopped fighting for real equality. And this isn’t a job that only the minority should be concerned with, because ensuring every person has personal liberty and rights that is not sacrificed by the color of their skin should be a concern to everyone!
A man from Wisconsin had to be rescued this week when the inner-tube he was in burst and left him stranded in the river. The catch was that he was 500 pounds and it took rescuers over 12 hours to navigate him to a place where they pull him from the river. If you believe what the guy says, he was floating along with friends when he hit a rock with his tube that caused it to deflate. I say, when your 500 pounds to begin with maybe you shouldn’t stick your big ass in an flotation device. Rescuers even tried to rescue him by boat, but gave up because when they tried the boat bottomed out on the rocks underneath.
And don’t get it twisted, I am not making fun of this guy for being morbidly obese, I am making fun of his dumbass for thinking he should get in an inner-tube. But I do bet when he got out of the river, it went down by atleast 8 feet.
Another example of the ways obesity can kill though for real! If its not the diabetes, cholesterol or hypertension you get, you are at high risk of sinking! Who knew???
This is the type of shit that makes me sick. I heard about this a looooong ass time ago, but just found a video of it. Its pretty sad that people don’t see the profit in this because they are talking about money, but what about the profit of saving lives??? Surely that is more important than making money….but its not.
I just read this story, and it pisses me off! If you are too lazy to read the link, I will sum it up for you:
Gay student attending highschool paid $150 for a personal photo page, he submitted one of him and his boyfriend kissing, and when the yearbooks came in the teachers had all manually blacked out the image completely with markers BUT left pictures of straight couples kissing throughout, one literally across the page from his blacked out image. Now that this has become a case of public interest, the school is back peddling and issuing apologies left and right, even though on the weekend they issued statements in support of the choice they had made. But no matter what they say, and even if they reissue the yearbooks this kid will always remember that instead of taking an opportunity to embrace human rights and equality his school chose to be narrow minded bigots that pass judgment on people based on sexual orientation.
I will just never understand why people think the things they do based on the most random things like race and orientation. Its crazy the things that bother people, because I have no idea on earth why something like two guys kissing could cause an outrage. Two men kissing are more likely to cause a problem in the US than two guys holding each other up with guns, which is pathetic and shows where the priorities are.
And that tiny pic under the main one is this “illicit” image that was too shocking for highschool yearbooks…what a F-ing joke!!!
Frankie, known as the punk girl from the Real World: San Diego who left the house early, passed away this past Saturday. The cause of death has not been determined, but she suffered from cystic fibrosis and most likely died from a complication of that. She was only 25.
SURPRISE!!! Another law official behaving badly! Pornstar Barbie Cummings was driving home when she got pulled over for going 92 mph in a 70 mph zone, and upon searching her car, state trooper Randy Moss discovered alcohol and narcotics. When he started telling her what the penalty for these things were when she began to cry and told him that she works out of state and that she was a porn star. And I guess upon hearing that, he felt the need to investigate her career choice a little more as he invited her back to his car, where they visited her triple x site and watched porno’s together! Then, she proceeded to give fellatio to the officer, while videotaping it! In the end, all he did was confiscate the pills she had in the car and write the BITCH a speeding ticket. Officer Randy Moss is currently suspended while the investigation continues.
This SHIT is so ridiculous, I guarantee that if this would have been a male of any minority he would be sitting in jail for drug possession and DUI. It makes me so mad that any retard can be a cop! That is why all cop reports look like they were typed by a dyslexic 3rd grader. All cops should be required to go to college for a criminal justice degree. And once again, the moral of this law enforcement story: “Stay away from coppers! They’re all assholes!”

Some of the better things include ending world hunger and switching all american cars to ethanol, but there are many more things the money could have done, some useful and others just for comparison. It is still funny to me when people say we helped those in Iraq so much, when you can see from the cost of it we could have really helped a whole lot more of people. Also noteworthy is the impending deployment of 35,000 more troops to Iraq this fall. Hope all you war hungry people are getting what you wanted!
Everyone knows the drama behind Don Imus getting fired for calling a womens college basketball team a bunch of “nappy headed ho’s”. A lot of people, both supporters and non supporters of the host felt he was unjustly fired. That is where porno company Kick Ass Pictures comes into the scene. They are set to release a dvd titled “Nappy Headed Ho’s” and a dollar for each DVD sold will go to a retirement fund they have started for Imus. If he does not wish to take the money they will then give all proceeds to United Negro College Fund. TMZ reports:
The film will feature “girls with closely twisted or curled hair (the dictionary definition of ‘nappy’), who have sex for money (the dictionary definition of ‘ho’).”
and Kick Ass Pictures president Mark Kulkis says:
“We see this as a free speech issue. As an adult media company, we’re especially defensive of free speech. Don Imus is a loudmouth and perhaps a bigot. However, CBS Radio was hypocritical in hiring Imus to be blunt and outspoken, then firing him for the same reason. Fellow broadcast personalities Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson spew anti-gay slurs, yet they are not fired by their networks.”
I especially like him calling out idiots Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson, I can’t believe the shit they get away with saying, and the only reason they get away with it is because hating on gays has not reached the same level of attention and reprimanding as other issues. But as much as I would like to see right wing tards off the air, I know that it is their right to say these dumb things, just as it was Imus’s right to say what he said. Freedom of Speech is just that, it doesn’t require what you say to be tactful, appropriate, tasteful or anything else. The Bill Of Rights wasn’t established to protect the voice of the majority, it was established to protect the voices people would rather not hear.
What is sad is that one of the guys got caught? WTF pal, you couldn’t outrun the old BITCH with a walker? Pathetic. But I am glad, people who take advantage of old people should be kicked in the teeth, it’s just such a mean thing to do!
