Heath Ledger, 28, was found dead in a New York apartment at 3:35 pm today. He was discovered face down, naked and unconscious in his bed, when a masseuse came over for a previously scheduled appointment, when there was no answer to the knocks on his door, the masseuse, along with the housekeeper entered his room. They immediately called the authorities, and paramedics announce him dead at the scene. Rumors of accidental overdoses or possible suicide have been rampant, and an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
It has been reported that sleeping pills were strewn around his room, and that he suffered from a substance abuse problem. Other stories speculate at that he was sick with pneumonia, although he was seen dining with his model girlfriend Gemma Ward earlier that night. He is survived by his daughter, who is only two. He was also previously married to Michelle Williams, and divorced in September 2007.

Actor Brad Renfro died yesterday. He was 25 and a probable drug junkie who had several run ins with the cops, including a bust for allegedly trying to purchase heroin from an undercover police operation. While toxicology reports will be needed to confirm the cause of death, most likely it was drug related.
But gross drug use aside, when I was like 10 I had the BIGGEST crush on him. You best believe I had all those TigerBeat magazine pull outs on my wall, and the Tom and Huck movie he did with JTT was the B-O-M-B baby!!!
According to TMZ reports, rapper Pimp C of UGK, government name Chad Butler, was found dead in bed on the sixth floor of the Hollywood hotel Mondrian. He was 33. No reports on the cause of death yet, so I am assuming it wasn’t gun related, but who knows? Being in Hollywood though, I bet he was coked up, boozed up and syruped up, but they will probably just call it “heart failure”.

UPDATE 1: Apparently Pimp C had been in town for a performance this past Saturday with Too Short. And UGK’s record label, Jive, issued this statement confirming the rappers death:
“It is with great sadness that Jive Records announces the passing of Chad “Pimp C” Butler, a member of the celebrated rap duo UGK (Underground Kingz). Jive Records’ President and CEO Barry Weiss states: “We mourn the unexpected loss of Chad. He was truly a thoughtful and kind-hearted person. He will be remembered for his talent and profound influence as a pioneer in bringing southern rap to the forefront. He will be missed and our prayers remain with his family and Bun B. I’ve known Chad since he was 18, and we loved him dearly and he was a cherished member of the Jive family.”
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Butler’s father was a trumpet player who played professionally with Solomon Burke. Outside of his father, the 33-year old rapper’s influences varied, ranging from Bobby Bland, Jimmy McGriff, the 1960’s Motown artists to Run DMC. Butler met his inseparable partner Bernard “Bun B” Freeman in high school where they formed UGK. In 1992, the duo signed to Jive Records and went on release a total of eight albums for the label. They earned their highest achievement earlier this year when their most recent album, UGK (Underground Kingz), debuted in the number one position on the album pop chart. According to the New York Times, UGK “helped inspire a generation of Southern hip-hop stars, from OutKast to Lil Wayne.”
Apparently Joe Francis is not doing handling being locked up to well, and to say I am not surprised is an understatement, he looks like he would be a little cupcake! You just know he is the jailhouse BITCH! His lawyer said this to TMZ about his stay so far:
(Francis) is having “full-blown anxiety attacks” and is “breaking down,” his lawyer tells the News-Herald of Panama City, Fla. He is isolated in a cold cell with only a towel and a blanket to keep him warm. And the poor, poor multimillionaire’s plight is being exacerbated by his jail ward-mate, Robert Bailey, who has been sentenced to die for killing a police officer. Bailey, according to Aaron Dyer, Francis’ lawyer, “would sit there and yell, ‘Girls Gone Wild! Joe Francis! Whoo!” Last week, Francis missed the medication cart and “went into a full-blown anxiety attack.”

Police reported that on Wednesday, Robert Clark, 67 and his son Ariel Hanrath-Clark, 22 were both fatally injured in a car accident. The driver of the car is still hospitalized, and investigations will be started to see if any charges should be brought upon the driver. Another woman was injured and released from the hospital.
