It is more out of respect for the profession she said what she did having the experience herself it is in deed fact. I do not believe she was being bitchy at all. The only thing she is saying is " you can see more without all the smoke clouding your view". To see what you really have , it takes you losing something I know but it should not take your life. The celeb she spoke of is in alot of trouble healthwise and the people around her from what the public see's, are trying to collect all the $$$ they can before her final curtain. Only she and GOD can save her. Their the only ones who care enough or should.
